500 Tons of Krukut River Sediment Transported

The South Jakarta Sub-dept. of Water Management began to dredge sediment in Krukut River, Petogogan Urban Village, South Jakarta as rainy season anticipation.

The dredging was done along 200 meters width and two meters depth

About 500 tons of sediment were transported from the river since Monday (7/27) to Thursday (7/30).

"The dredging was done along 200 meters width and two meters depth," said Suyadi, Head Section of Flood Control System Maintenance for South Jakarta Water Management Sub-department, Friday (7/31).

2 Excavators Sent to Krukut River as Flood Anticipation

Relaying on beritajakarta.com observation, there were two excavators deployed to dredge the sediment.

"Our target is dredging 1,500 meters within 1.5 months. The dry sediment will be transported to Ancol coal fired power plant (PLTU) area," he disclosed.
